SAN JOSE, Costa Rica (AP) - Hernan Medford will make his debut as manager of Costa Rica
when the Ticos play January 31 or February 4 against Jamaica, which will play its first game under
new coach Bora Milutinovic.
The match in Kingston was announced yesterday by Costa Rican soccer federation vice president
Victor Alfaro in a media release. The match will be preparation for the Ticos, who play in the
Central American Nations Cup in El Salvador February 8-18.
Medford assumed the reigns of the Ticos on October 31, replacing Alexandre Guimaraes,
who resigned following the World Cup in Germany. Milutinovic, the only man to coach five different
teams at the World Cup, was signed as the Reggae Boyz technical director on November 16. |
