Reggae Boy Goodison scores in Tranmere's draw

LONDON, England (CMC) - Reggae Boy Ian Goodison scored his first goal
of the season for Tranmere Rovers as they came from behind to draw 2-2
with Yeovil in the English League One yesterday. The 33 year-old
defender scored in the 39th minute, a goal that drew Tranmere level after
they had conceded a goal through Matt Harold's fifth minute strike.
Harrold struck again to make it 2-1 in the 69th minute before Chris
Greenacre gave Tranmere a share of the points with a close-range goal.
Searching desperately for the equaliser after Harrold's early strike,
Tranmere found it when Gareth Roberts' cross found Ian Sharpes who
flicked on at the near post for Goodison's header to beat the Yeovil
custodian from six yards out.
It was Goodison's second goal for the club since joining the northwest
England club during the 2003-04 season. |
